Creganna was established in 1980, initially providing a range of engineering solutions to the electronics industry. Over the years the company diversified and began to provide products and services into other industries including the fast growing medical device industry.

In 2003 the company divested its operations in all other industries to focus solely on the medical device industry.
Creganna has experienced steady growth since 2000, providing products, technologies and services to the medical device industry.
At the very heart of Creganna’s success is innovation.

Establishing strong relationships with our customer base has enabled Creganna-Tactx Medical to develop innovative technologies closely aligned to our customers needs. The company’s portfolio of innovative products, materials and technologies has significantly grown along with our staff of over 800 people.

In 2007, the opening of Creganna’s US facility in Marlborough, Massachusetts was a significant milestone in the growth and expansion of the company in the US market.
 
In 2010, Creganna announced the acquisition of Tactx Medical Inc., to become Creganna-Tactx Medical.

Creganna-Tactx Medical has design and manfuacturing facilities in key medical device clusters worldwide including California, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Ireland (Galway) and Singapore. The company's global manfuactuirng footprint exceeds 200,000 sq. ft.
